Do you have a pet?
Yes, I am caretaker of one tuxedo cat named Ito. We have been a team since shortly after I moved to Toronto in 2000. She is an avid eater and napper.
What makes you laugh?
A lot of things make me laugh. There is so much absurdity in every-day life that can provide a great deal of entertainment if you know where to look for it. I'm also a big fan of the Just For Laughs "Gags" show where they pull harmless pranks on innocent bystanders.
What's the best part of your private practice at Boomerang?
I love practicing at Boomerang because we have a diverse, supportive team of professionals who are passionate about helping people so it's an exciting place to work from!
How do you move outside the studio?
I've never been a gym guy but I keep active by incorporating as much movement as I can into my daily life via walking, cycling, hiking, yogaing etc.
What is your favourite food?
Hard to say what my favourite food is because I love so many! ONE of my favs are berries because they are so nutrient dense and yet are very palatable to most people (unlike kale for instance) so you get the best of both worlds!
What's something about you that might surprise people?
I think a common misconception about naturopaths is that we are these crazy health extremists that want to make people so healthy that they can't have any fun in life. While it's true that sometimes drastic lifestyle changes are required to reverse serious conditions, in the absence of chronic disease, small lifestyle changes can often reap huge benefits for our patients.
